Come join us and be a part of Singapore’s premier cycling event. OCBC Cycle is back for yet another exciting weekend of cycling and cycling-related activities – be prepared to indulge yourself in lots of fun and excitement!

Here is what you will receive as a volunteer:

  • OCBC Cycle 2017 volunteer T-shirt
  • Electronic certificate of appreciation
  • Meals and refreshments
  • Community Involvement Program (CIP) hours (if applicable)
  • Transport allowance of S$20

On top of that, volunteering provides you with an opportunity to:

  • Make new friends who share similar interests
  • Gain first-hand experience of working behind the scenes of a large-scale sporting event
  • Foster teamwork, improve communication and problem-solving skills

Volunteer positions

AID STATION / SELFIE SPOT

Manage the distribution of drinks and refreshments at hydration points located along the cycling route. Volunteers are also encouraged to cheer on cyclists as they pass by.

BIKE PARK CREW

Facilitate cyclists at the event bike storage area to check in/out their bicycles.

COURTESY CREW

Provide clear instructions and directions to cyclists around event venue. Proactively assist the public and cyclists if they have questions.

CROSSING MARSHAL

Manage crossing junctions around the event venue to ensure smooth movement in and out of the event venue.

EVENT PACK COLLECTION

Assist cyclists for all event pack collection matters. Manage queues and distribute event packs in an orderly manner. Ensure inventory control and management for all event packs.

EVENT PACK PACKING

Assist in pre-event preparation, packing and setting up event pack collection counters.

FINISH POINT

Cheer cyclists as they pass the finishing point. Direct and assist cyclists to ensure a smooth flow into the Riders’ Welfare Area.

INFO/HELPDESK

Assist cyclists if they have questions with regards to the event in a helpful manner.

Key Junction

Manage important junctions in the cycling route and provide assistance to cyclists and members of the public.

PROGRAMMING & PROTOCOL

Assist the Event Organiser in coordinating VIPs for flag-offs, prize presentations and results management.

RIDERS WELFARE AREA

Manage the distribution of medals and refreshments for incoming finishers.

Route Marshal

Provide support and assistance to cyclists and members of the public along the event route.

START POINT

Direct and assist cyclists in entering their assigned pens.

VIP HOSPITALITY

Provide assistance to cyclists and ensure smooth operations of VIP hospitality area.

VOLUNTEER WELFARE

Administer and prepare for all volunteer reporting, deployment and stand-down matters.
