OCBC Cycle Speedway Championships comprises three categories.
Teams race around a 1km-long circuit in a team-of four relay format to vie for the title of OCBC Cycle Speedway Champion.
Each team is required to complete 10 laps of the 1km course – first five laps (1st pair of riders) and last five laps (next pair of riders). There will be three rounds – qualifying rounds, semi-finals and finals. Ranking of the teams in each round is based on the time taken to complete the course. The time taken by a team to complete the race is deemed to be the average of the times taken by the third and fourth rider to cross the finishing line from the flag-off of the race.
Depending on the category, different number of teams will proceed to the semi-finals and finals.

Here are some of the measures that we will be putting in place.
1. Group segregation

The size of each team holding area has also been increased and spaced further from each other to provide all participants with sufficient space for safe distancing. Teams will also be assigned a specific mobile toilet that they can use at the venue. Team assistants, reserve rider and spectators will not be allowed at the race this year.
2. Staggered reporting time
All reporting times will be staggered to minimise crowding. Participants are to follow their allocated timing and arrive on time. This will help to ensure a smooth race schedule.
3. Mandatory usage of TraceTogether mobile application
Only the TraceTogether mobile application will be accepted to check-in at the venue. All participants are required to keep their TraceTogether application running to facilitate contract tracing if necessary. Participants who are not using the TraceTogether mobile application will not be allowed to participate in the race.
4. Mask up and stay apart
Participants are required to wear a mask when they are not racing. This includes at any time while waiting for their race to start and after they have completed their race.
