OCBC | Volunteer Positions

For the fourth year running, OCBC Cycle is back this year from 4 to 6 May 2018. With 15 different volunteer positions to choose from, we promise that it will be a fun and fulfilling experience! As a volunteer, you can look forward to receiving:

AID STATION

Manage the distribution of drinks and refreshments at hydration points located along the cycling route. Volunteers are also encouraged to cheer on cyclists as they pass by.

BIKE PARK CREW

Facilitate cyclists at the event bike storage area to check in/out their bicycles.

COURTESY CREW

Provide clear instructions and directions to cyclists around event venue. Proactively assist the public and cyclists if they have questions.

CROSSING MARSHAL

Manage crossing junctions around the event venue to ensure smooth movement in and out of the event venue.

EVENT PACK COLLECTION

Assist cyclists for all event pack collection matters. Manage queues and distribute event packs in an orderly manner. Ensure inventory control and management for all event packs.

EVENT PACK PACKING

Assist in pre-event preparation, packing and setting up event pack collection counters.

FINISH POINT

Cheer cyclists as they pass the finishing point. Direct and assist cyclists to ensure a smooth flow into the Riders’ Welfare Area.

INFO/HELPDESK

Assist cyclists if they have questions with regards to the event in a helpful manner.

Key Junction

Manage important junctions in the cycling route and provide assistance to cyclists and members of the public.

PROGRAMMING & PROTOCOL

Assist Event Organiser in coordinating the VIPs for flag offs; Winners management; Stage programs; Prize presentations; Results management and smooth operation at VIP hospitality area.

RIDERS WELFARE AREA

Manage the distribution of medals and refreshments for incoming finishers.

Route Marshal

Provide support and assistance to cyclists and members of the public along the event route.

START POINT

Direct and assist cyclists in entering their assigned pens.

SPEEDWAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Assist in managing the competitive category of the Event, including registration, timing, and results.

VOLUNTEER WELFARE

Administer and prepare for all volunteer reporting, deployment and stand-down matters.
